Grandpa's Service

So for those of you that don't know, my hero passed away in June. We are so very thankful that my grandfather was able to hang onto life long enough to meet Adalyn, his first great-grand child. He meant so much to so many people and I will never forget all the many wonderful things he's done for me and my family. Adalyn, Trevor, and myself spent many hours by his bedside and Adalyn was able to help him transition into his passing. She gurgled, coo'd, and smiled at him until the end. We were able to spend a few hours with him the night before he passed and he was well aware that we were all there with him even though he was in and out and couldn't speak. Whenever Adalyn made a noise, he would open his eyes and reach for her foot. It's been a difficult time, but we have had the support of family and friends to make things a little easier. A HUGE thanks goes to Melanie as she took Adalyn for us during the service. Addy was fine with the bagpipes and even fell asleep, but as soon as that organ started to play she flipped out! Thank you for helping us Melanie!

I know, I know 2 weekends in a row Trevor and I went out without the baby. What can I say?! We are in high demand! First up was Uncle Patrick's birthday party which was so fun! Then we just have some super cute pictures of little Addy. Enjoy!

Our 1st Night Out! Addy at 12 weeks ;-)

Trevor and I finally had our first night out a few weeks ago. We were a little bit nervous about leaving Adalyn for such a long period of time, but we knew she was in good hands! Both of my parents, my sister, and their 2 beagles Gracie and Lucy came over to our house to care for Adalyn. Trevor and I had such a great time, it was nice to do adult things!

Julia's Performance

These are picture of Adalyn at 11 weeks old. She is growing up so fast. We were invited to Julia's performance/play at a local church. She did such a great job and Adalyn sat through the whole thing! Julia is one of Blair and Joe's little girls and Blair and Joe are Adalyn's Godparents.

This is Adalyn's Godfather Joe and their Dog Kylee. Trevor and I watched Kylee-Dog for many years while Blair and Joe were out of town, we even took Kylee on camp trips with us. We are so blessed that Adalyn got to meet Kylee and have a picture taken with her. This picture was taken on a Sunday and Kylee-Dog passed away on Tuesday. Kylee will always have a piece of our hearts.

Julia's 1st time holding Addy. I think for awhile she was upset that we had a baby because she used to have Trevor and I all to herself(well Cameron too). Now we have a baby of our own and when Addy cries we have to go to her.

Bath Time Fun! Addy at 10 weeks!

Many of you know I had to stop breastfeeding :-( and in a way I lost that bonding experience with Adalyn. Yes, I still feed her but breastfeeding is such a close bond. I've tried to revive this bond by having special time with Addy, such as bath time. We have an infant bath that she absolutely hates. I felt bad every time I put her in it to bathe her because she screamed her head off. We now bond in the bath tub when it's bath time. She loves sitting in my lap and splashing in the water with mommy. These are pictures of Adalyn right after one of the first bathes we took together.

Addy Girl 8-10 Weeks Old

My 1st Mother's Day! It was such a great day. Trevor and I walked over to Posh Bagel and Starbucks and we sat out on the patio eating breakfast. We stayed for quite awhile and Adalyn did such a great job.

Here's a picture of Addy at 9 weeks old with her "boyfriend" Collin. He adores her and on a side note...COllin is going to have a baby sister of his own in October!

Our dog Diesel LOVES Addy! He will curl up with her on her playmat or lick up her drool. She laughs and giggles at him, I have a feeling they are going to be best friends!

These are Adalyn's stylish new sunglasses from her Nana(my mom). She is 10 weeks old in these last 2 pictures and she smiles ALL the time.

Also in this series of pictures is Adalyn and her Auntie Casey when Addy was 7 weeks old. Her Auntie Casey is the BEST and Addy LOVES her very much.







I caught Daddy sleeping with Adalyn on her Baby Einstein playmat. Daddy is a GREAT babysitter!



Another picture is that of Auntie Casey with Adalyn's "boyfriend" Collin Williams. We just missed him giving her a big kiss. He claims they will be married one day ;-)
