Christmas Eve was spent at my parent's house surrounded by family. My mom bought Addy an adorable Christmas outfit that she played with most of the night because it made noises when she scrunched it together. It looked super cute on her, but her dress shoes didn't fit her fat feet so she had to wear the socks that look like shoes :-)

Adalyn's god-parent's and their little girls came over for the evening too and it was great to spend quality time with them all. Throughout the night I did feel as though something was missing and it didn't dawn on me until most everyone had gone home for the night that the one thing missing was Grandpa. This is one of the only Holidays ever spent without Grandpa. Growing up, early Christmas morning Jess and I were not allowed to go into the living room until Daddy got back from picking Grandpa back up so they could check to make sure Santa had been there. We would whine, complain, and call Daddy like a million times to urge him to drive faster. We always had the greatest time spending the day with Grandpa watching sports, movies, chatting, and playing games. He was so missed this year as I know he will be missed every year.

Overall, Christmas Eve was wonderful and we were so lucky to also spend the evening with our friend Alex who was home from the Fire Academy down south for a few days. He came over to spend Christmas Eve with us too. Long after all the guests had left, and Addy had been put to bed...we all rocked out to Rock Band! What a wonderful night!
