Jessie Graduates!

My sister is amazing, no really...AMAZING! Not only did she graduate from High School early, she has graduated from Berkeley early! We made the trek to CAL for her big day this past Sunday. We dressed Addy up in her CAL cheerleader outfit from Halloween and surprised my sister. We had random strangers coming up to us and asking for a picture with Addy...we should have charged some $! Adalyn did really well through the long service and only lost it at the very end when some guy behind us screamed and whistled. We are all so proud of Jess!

It's Beginning to Feel a lot Like Christmas!

We participated in our annual tree cutting this past Saturday with Uncle Jose and Terri. It was a gorgeous and super clear day which started out with a hot cup of Starbucks coffee and bagels. We took the short drive up Highway 17 and found our "spot". Adalyn loved the sunshine and dirt, not to mention the bumpy truck ride where she "sang" to us. We found a tree fairly quickly and we forced Jose to get a cute little Charlie Brown tree on the 4x4 only trail. Trevor has NEVER been that into Christmas decorations, but something drastically changed. We lost our Christmas light hanger uppers so we went over to ACE Hardware to grab some new ones. We walk right into a Christmas wonderland and Trevor's face lit up and he went nuts. We left with a deer, more lights, and a string of snowflake lights. Once we got home and finished decorating, Trevor decided it wasn't enough. He made us go back to ACE and get MORE lights so we could put more outside and some inside. Our house is completely lit up, but it did make me smile when I drove home the other night :-)

So much to be Thankful for!

Trevor and I have so much to be thankful for this year so we'd like to list some things that make our world go 'round...

Adalyn and the love she brings into our home

Family, we have the best one around!

Friends, they have been with us through so much

Our home, it provides us warmth and safety

Love, because it means so much

Health

Happiness

This Thanksgiving was spent with my parents at their home. We had such a great time playing pool, playing Wii, and eating way too much!

Auburn to Tahoe...

Right before Thanksgiving we took Adalyn on her first long car trip to help Trevor's mom move somethings to her new house. Addy was such a trooper as we got stuck in some major traffic and it took us longer than we thought to get to Auburn. We stayed at Pat's new house for dinner and then we decided to drive the rest of the way to her other home at North Star. We spent the next few days hiking with Adalyn in her BOB stoller (which is soooooo awesome!), walking the golf course at North Star, playing with Pat's dog Eddie, looking for golf balls, and then driving back down to Auburn for dinner before coming home. While we were on a hike at Emerald Bay, we were sitting down on the beach having lunch and letting Addy play in the sand, when we heard a loud engine. We were trying to figure out where this sound was coming from when this small passenger plane came over a crest to fly around the "tea castle". We watched it go lower and lower around the circle until it was barely skimming the water. We thought for sure it was going to crash and we were going to have to dive into the water to save the passengers, but alas up and away it went. Amazing to watch, but totally illegal!

Long Over-Due!

Okay, this is the last excuse I'll be making for awhile...but we have still been having the computer issue which has thankfully been solved for the past 2 days!

Geez, where to start? I feel like it's been forever since I have posted anything new so I guess I will start with Halloween.

My sister Jessie goes to Berkeley and she is constantly trying to get me to put Adalyn in Tye-Dye outfits (I HATE tye-dye!). She jokes about sneaking Addy into an outfit when I'm not looking. We finally came to a truce when I told her what Adalyn was going to be for Halloween...A Berkeley Cheerleader. She laid off the Tye-Dye comments after that one! Target actually had an entire cheerleader outfit so I HAD to get it for her! She looked so cute in the CAL colors with her huge cankles and rolls hanging out the bottom of the pleated skirt. Of course she had no idea what was going on when we were walking from house to house trick-or-treating. We only went around my parent's street because 1. It was late 2. Everyone on the block wanted to see Adalyn 3. She doesn't understand Halloween yet and 4. She doesn't eat the candy, we do :-) We had our friend's Geoff and Tabitha with us and their baby girl Shelby who was a bumble bee. Here are some pix...
